Ryan Walters

Associate Pastor

Ryan Walters loves God and people and has a deep shepherd’s heart. Ryan came to Magnify in June 2026 and he serves as an associate pastor with special care over our music ministry and youth.

He has years of experience in ministry and was formally an Associate Pastor at Madera Church in Arizona (EFCA), overseeing youth ministry, outreach ministry, set up and tear down, and assisting the lead pastor in other pastoral duties as needed. He holds both a BS and MS in social work and worked in the field for nearly 10 years as a social worker primarily serving juvenile youth in various settings such as recovery programs, foster homes, and detention centers. Ryan is also in the ordination process with the EFCA.

Ryan comes from a highly musical family and leads on guitar. He also has a passion for song-writing. Ryan sees worship as a whole-life response to God rather than just music alone. Passionate about students knowing and loving God and equipping them to lead and serve, Ryan is committed to discipleship, equipping students to live and share their faith, and teaching Scripture expositionally with a collaborative, community-focused ministry vision. Ryan loves running, the outdoors, and reading. In his spare time, Ryan also enjoys morning walks with his family, rooting for the New England Patriots, and restoring old Saabs. He and his wife, Christina, have been married for 9 years and have three young children.
